Join the CCO Board: Help Shape What’s Next

by | May 12, 2026 | Community

As CCO continues to grow, so does the community of people shaping what’s possible through coaching. Behind every program, event, and connection is a group of thoughtful, committed leaders bringing this work to life. As we look ahead to the next chapter, we’re inviting new voices and perspectives to join us through our Extended Board of Directors.

The Work We’re Doing Together

We are a community of executive coaches advancing powerful coaching in organizations so both individuals and systems can flourish, especially in spaces where coaching is less accessible, like nonprofits and public service agencies.

We believe powerful coaching fuels greatness in organizations and communities. Founded in 2020, we are a mission-driven nonprofit working to:

  • Provide Coach Development and thought leadership to advance powerful coaching in organizations so that both the individual and the organization can flourish.

  • Expand the Reach of Coach Training and coaching to under-resourced organizations solving complex challenges.

  • Increase Representation so coaches better mirror the population at large.

We offer training programs, host events like the CCO Summit, and provide resources to support the growth of coaches worldwide.

What It’s Like to Be Part of This Community

When we asked current and past board members what it’s like to be part of CCO, here’s what they shared:

Why Join the Board

Being part of the CCO Board is an opportunity to contribute to something bigger than yourself while growing your own leadership. Board members help shape programs, guide strategy, and support a community rooted in curiosity, compassion, and connection.

Whether you’re looking to deepen your governance experience, expand your network, or bring your skills to a mission-driven organization, this is a space to learn, lead, and collaborate alongside others who care deeply about the impact of coaching.

Who Thrives Here

This work is a great fit for people who value curiosity, collaboration, and creativity, and who enjoy bringing ideas to life while supporting others.

Most of all, it’s for those who want to grow alongside a thoughtful, engaged coaching community.

Current Board Opportunities

We’re currently seeking leaders to step into the following roles:

Communications & Marketing

CCO is seeking a strategic communicator who brings a passion for clear, compelling storytelling and strong visual alignment to serve as Volunteer Chair of the Communications & Marketing Committee. This is a dynamic leadership opportunity to shape the voice, presence, and promotion of CCO across all programs and events, from year-round offerings to the flagship CCO Summit.

As a member of CCO’s Extended Board of Directors, you’ll lead and collaborate with a talented creative team, including a part-time marketing designer and key event stakeholders. Together, you’ll help ensure that CCO’s communications are clear, on-brand, and aligned with its mission and values.

This role is a great fit for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and execution, and is energized by helping make coaching more visible and accessible to a wider audience.

Finance Lead

CCO is seeking a Finance Lead who brings a thoughtful approach to financial strategy, clarity, and stewardship, and will provide strategic oversight of budgeting and financial operations. This is a key leadership role on the Extended Board of Directors, supporting transparent, thoughtful, and sustainable financial stewardship.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Treasurer and program leaders to shape annual budgets, review financial analyses, and align resources with organizational priorities. You’ll also partner with our accounting firm to support smooth processing of invoices, reimbursements, and financial reporting.

You’ll also support the Compensation Committee, which meets annually to review role compensation and approve expenditures for the upcoming year or program cycle.

This role is a strong fit for someone who is analytical, reliable, and committed to maintaining the financial health that powers CCO’s mission and programs.
