We invite you to be part of the future creating more effectiveness in organizations by applying to learn coaching skills in our next Cohort. Just think of the possibilities of how people in your or other organizations will change when introduced to Coaching!
You don’t need to have it all figured out to start.
You don’t have to leave your role to lead in a new way.
It is about learning to ask the questions that open new possibilities.
ECO is for people who care deeply about how they show up – at work, with others, and in systems that need something different.
Whether you are in HR, education, nonprofit, operations, or another field, ECO helps you develop the presence and practical coaching skills to create change from where you are. It is not about having all the answers – it is about learning to ask the questions that open new possibilities.
Curious what might shift if you showed up just a little differently?
We graduate well-prepared coaches who have done the work (reflective and experiential) to shape their own unique coaching philosophies.
Our Program is Level 1 Accredited by the ICF
Receiving your education from a Level 1 ICF-accredited (International Coaching Federation) program ensures you are learning the core coaching competencies, ethical guidelines, and professional skills recognized around the world. ICF-accredited programs include not only coursework, but also mentor coaching and observed practice with feedback—so students don’t just learn about coaching, they actually develop and demonstrate their ability to coach well.
Completing a Level 1 program provides a clear, structured pathway toward the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential and gives graduates confidence that their training meets a respected global benchmark for quality and professionalism.
ECO is a comprehensive program, that meets coaching education requirements for both ACC and PCC certification.

Faculty as the Cornerstone
What makes this coaching education program stand out? The faculty. Together they bring breadth and depth to the learning environment. Experience-wise they are accomplished ICF-certified practitioners, seasoned educators, and trusted partners to leaders and organizations.
They also embody something harder to measure but impossible to miss: integrity, generosity, and genuine care for the growth of every student.
You will quickly discover that they don’t simply teach coaching competencies. They model presence, cultivate confidence, and they will help you discover your own authentic way of serving others.
That combination of excellence and humanity is the cornerstone of this program.
Belonging Matters Here
Belonging Matters Here
At the Center for Coaching in Organizations, we believe that transformational coaching is enriched by diverse voices, experiences, and identities. We are committed to fostering an educational environment that honors and uplifts people of all background, including those who have been historically marginalized due to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, age, socioeconomic status, religion, and culture.
Our coaching education program intentionally cultivates a safe, respectful, and affirming space where differences are valued, every learner can show up authentically, and equity is not just an aspiration, it is practiced in all we do.
“The faculty and cohort gave me the foundation, credibility, and courage to take a leap and fulfill my long-held dream of becoming an executive coach.”
– Deborah Herrera, ECO Cohort 2 Graduate, ECO Faculty
“I’m exceptionally grateful for my experience in completing CCO’s ECO coach training program. CCO’s ‘cohort approach’ to experiential education is second-to-none and profoundly set a stage for me to discover, grow and transform into the coach and leader that I am today.”
– John Armstrong, ECO Cohort 8 Graduate, Business Owner, Coach & Consultant
“Since graduating, I’ve launched a coaching and photography business that feels deeply aligned. ECO didn’t just change my path—it helped me come home to myself.”
– Sara Lommen, ECO Cohort 9 Graduate, Coach, Photographer
“The most impactful part was learning about the being of coaching. It was pausing to notice how I was showing up as a leader. It was pausing to be more self aware about my presence as a leader. It was being aware of how I was leading in different ways in order to create deeper understanding, possibilities, and change.”
– Curt Gray, CCO Founder, Past Board Member
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes us different?
The Executive Coaching in Organizations (ECO, “echo”) program is one of the few coach-education experiences designed specifically for organizational coaching across industries and sectors.
Grounded in a scholar-practitioner model, ECO blends theory, research, and real-world practice so graduates clearly understand how coaching differs from mentoring, advising, training, and counseling – and how to apply coaching effectively inside organizations.
ECO is not a “check-the-box” certificate. Our intentionally paced curriculum, completed over several months, combines in-person and virtual learning in a rhythm that supports the realities of a busy professional life. The program is designed to fit into your world, not to take it over, offering a deeply reflective, experiential journey led by seasoned practitioners and coach-educators.
With small, intimate cohorts, students are immersed in a community of purpose-driven, lifelong learners who understand the transformative power of coaching. ECO is more than a program you complete; it’s a community you join.
Email us HERE to be connected with an alumni graduate who can share more about the experience.
Who is the program designed for?
ECO is ideal for individuals who want to develop or deepen their ability to coach in organizational settings, including:
- Organizational leaders advancing a coaching culture
- Leaders exploring a career transition into coaching
- Those interested in becoming internal and external executive coaches
- Professionals seeking to strengthen both the being and doing of coaching
- HR and talent leaders applying coaching to enhance their impact
- Consultants and practicing coaches expanding their skillset
- Counselors and psychologists diversifying their offerings
ECO students come from many roles, but they share a common purpose: to create meaningful impact through coaching.
What might be your reason for pursuing coaching in organizations?
What will I gain from the program?
We don’t graduate “branded” coaches; we graduate well-prepared, self-aware practitioners with clear, personally grounded coaching philosophies. Each participant develops their own approach, shaped by experience, reflection, and the impact they want to create.
Graduates apply a coach approach as nonprofit and business leaders, internal and external coaches, educators, consultants, and community contributors.
And the learning continues beyond the program. Every graduate leaves with an individualized professional development plan and joins a supportive, lifelong community of practice committed to ongoing growth.
How do I apply?
Our admissions process reflects our commitment to accessibility and meaningful connection. You may submit your application in one of two ways:
Option 1: Complete the PDF application in writing and email it to Training@Centerforcoachinginorgs.com
Option 2: Submit basic information via PDF and supplement with an audio/video recording of your responses, emailed with a link to your file.
After receiving your materials, we schedule a mutual interview; you interview us, and we interview you. It’s the beginning of an ongoing conversation.
You may also meet with our Treasurer to review tuition, payment options, and strategies for requesting organizational support. Our faculty and staff are here to help ensure you get what you need from the program.
What if I want an International Coaching Federation (ICF) credential?
You are in good company; many ECO alumni go on to earn ICF credentials. ECO is a Level 1 ICF-accredited coach education program. Upon completion of the 142-hour program, you will have earned the required mentor-coaching hours and classroom hours, and you will be well-prepared in ICF competencies and ethics.
Graduates are equipped to apply for and pass the ICF ACC exam to become an Associate Certified Coach (ACC).
The program also meets the education hours requirements for becoming a Professional Certified Coach (PCC).
What is my investment?
We use the word investment intentionally. There is a dollar cost, of course. And there is an investment of time, energy, courage, curiosity, commitment, and vulnerability, too.
As a scholar-practitioner program, students are required to read, reflect, analyze, discuss, question, practice, and show up fully for your cohort. The program provides 142.25 student contact hours through a combination of classroom and fieldwork. Your personal engagement is part of what makes the experience transformative.
