Tech Committee

Professional Background:

Alan is a highly motivated, highly skilled technology professional with over 12 years of experience in the field. Alan began his career in software development as a Java developer. then eventually started taking on leadership roles within his team. These have included ScrumMaster, Manager, and Director roles. Coaching is a critical skill in any leadership position, and Alan started focusing on his coaching path around 2016.
Alan holds the CTC and CSP-SM certifications from Scrum Alliance. He loves working with teams to help them reach their fullest potential. He is the co-organizer of the Twin Cities Agile Coaching group and volunteers for many other organizations and events related to coaching.
Alan loves the outdoors and spends as much of his time at the lake cabin as possible. He lives with his wife Paige in the Twin Cities and is a graduate of North Dakota State University.
A few things Alan values:
  • Do what you love to do – if you can’t say you love what you do then move on to something else.
  • Happiness is a choice – choose to be happy and life will be a lot more fun.
  • Build strong relationships – people are what drives success so why not make the most out of your time with them.

Why I’m part of CCO:

Alan has found a passion for coaching over the past few years, and loves working with organizations and groups that focus on the art and practice of coaching. CCO falls directly in line with those characteristics, so it is a great fit.

If we meet, you should ask me about:

Fishing. When Alan is not working or going out to eat with his wife, he is probably fishing somewhere. He loves to fish all year round and enjoys talking with others about all things fishing. There is always a fun fishing story to tell, and Alan is not short on those.
